This car's reverse speed is terrible, and it is well known for the worst reverse acceleration. The attack rating, 373, is also the best in the game, beating the M2A4-S1 on 21 December 2019 ( Update 18). The max speed is 1,228 km/h (763 MPH), which, before Update 20, was impossible to reach! It is possible to achieve this speed by using the runway. The Thrust SSC became the first land vehicle to ever break the sound barrier. During its record-breaking run, the Thrust SSC made it up to 1,228 km/h (763 MPH)(Mach 1). In total, the Thrust SSC produces up to 223 kN (50,000 lb/f) of thrust, which is 110,000 horsepower (74.6 megawatts). While the Thrust2 was powered by a single Rolls-Royce Avon turbofan engine, the Thrust SSC would up this to twin Rolls-Royce Spey turbofan engines–the same engines as were used by British F-4 Phantom jet fighters.
Richard Noble had previously made it up to 1,019 km/h (633 MPH) with his previous car, the Thrust2, but he wanted to go even faster. The Thrust SSC is a vehicle with one purpose: to break the land speed record.
